The Experience

Every time my husband and I visit Carlsbad, we always make sure to stop in at The Den. I can remember, years ago, driving by it all the time, intrigued by the name and the location. Finally, I stopped in one day and was not disappointed! A very den-like feel, with perfectly dimmed lighting, (not too dim where you can’t shop!) but it’s just very cohesive with the name! Located directly off Coast Hwy as you make your way into Carlsbad from Oceanside, you see it there on your left.

This women & men’s (some kid’s stuff too! see pic, SUPER cute!) clothing boutique is where you want to go to get a little rock’n roll inspiration into your wardrobe. Alot of the selection has that “rocker” feel to it. There’s definitely something for everyone, tops & dresses in black or bright colors, some embellished with studs and bling…Very Rocker-esque. What I really love is the large selection of denim and the unique line selection. The Den is the place to go, if you want to stand out in a crowd of True Religions… (Personally, I do.)

What’s a must have Item?

My (Jaclyn) must have item was for sure, the floppy fedora Obey hat that caught my eye right as I walked in!! LOVED IT!

There was an array of Men’s World Cup shirts that were really cool, and also, I fell in love with the cute Honey-Dew Panties.

I often get in a “craving Carlsbad mood.” The Den is part of the reason that craving comes on! I love the selection. You don’t see these items in every boutique you visit. I find that to be a boutique buyer’s success. And refreshing too! Bravo to the Den for thinking outside of the box! The combination of unique selection, great customer service and the general laid back feel, The Den will get you into that “craving Carlsbad mood” too.
